American singer/songwriter and actress Beyoncé Knowles has announced the launch of the Formation scholarship programme, to mark the one year anniversary of her hit album Lemonade.

Knowles will be awarding four scholarships, one per college, to female incoming, current or graduate students pursuing higher education in creative arts, music, literature or African-American studies at Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design and Spelman College.
